ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The mission of the EDxEDNYC Professional Learning Conference, designed for educators by educators, is to share best practices of pedagogy within and beyond the classroom, to network with other innovative thinkers and to continue conversations on student engagement, innovation, technology, instruction, fostering discussion, questioning, reflective leadership and design-thinking within our schools.

EDxED is a conference for educators run by educators from Hudson High School of Learning Technologies, a public high school in New York City.
This Professional Learning conference features relevant professional development content for all educators — including subject-area teachers, school administrators, physical education teachers, librarians, counselors and arts teachers.

Walter BrownWalter has been in public education for 22 years as a classroom teacher, team leader, lead teacher, and currently as an AP at Hudson High School of Learning Technologies. He has been invited to speak at the Tech Forum NY "Fostering Innovation at the School and District Level” 2015 ; BREC “How to Implement an Effective Team Approach to Teaching” 2009; Adelphi University “Urban Education Conference” 2007. He currently sits on the board of the www.nchsapa.com (Nassau County HS AP association.

Jennifer L.M. Gunn has been a NYC Dept. of Education English and Literacy teacher and curriculum designer for ten years, after a decade-long career in magazine and newspaper publishing. She co-founded the annual education conference, EDxEDNYC, a professional development conference for educators by educators. She has co-designed several interdisciplinary, project-based
Phil LinderPhil is in his 8th year as a teacher, and began at Hudson High School of Learning Technologies in 2013. He is a co-founder of EDxEDNYC. Phil is the husband of a beautiful wife and has an indisputably handsome dog.
Chris PurcellChris has been teaching for eight years and is a founding member of Hudson High School of Learning Technologies. In previous years, he’s collaborated with the Stupski Institute, NYC Skills Lab, and Generation Citizen to cultivate assessments that incorporated student choice, revision, and reflection. Chris is currently piloting the Big History Project curriculum in his 9th grade classes. He is a co-founder of the EDxEDNYC Conference.
Vince JoralemonVince is a biology teacher at Frank McCourt High School who is passionate about getting students involved in meaningful ways in the classroom. He founded a nationally recognized science research program and also developed a robust peer mentoring program at his school. He loves cooking and gardening with his beautiful wife. Vince acts as session coordinator and oversees logistics for EDxEDNYC!
Tim ComerTim is a natural science teacher who is committed to inquiry teaching, task based assessment, and educational technology integration. As a teacher leader and leadership scholar, Tim is passionate about promoting continuous school improvement through data analysis and systems design. Tim is also a husband, a father, and a competitive martial artist.
Roberto CabreraRoberto is a Bilingual Dean of students holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and currently is working on a Master’s Degree in Autism Disorder and Development. During his years of being a Dean in high schools, Roberto has supported all students in acquiring and using social skills that will help them make tough decisions with the best possible outcome. Roberto has done this in many ways, but most prominently by offering students a safe, non-judgemental space to express themselves.
Marc IsseksMarc Isseks is a writer, speaker, podcaster and public school administrator. His book, Forward Fast: Making Sense of Education in an Era of Rapid Change, chronicles the sweeping educational transformations of
the technological revolution and paves a path to the future of meaningful learning.
